20230915 _ Reflash NRU-52S+ / NRU-51V+ _ Orin NX / JetPack 5.1.1

Please note that Orin NX and Xavier NX have different flash approaches.

• Prepare an x86 host computer with Ubuntu 20.04 installed

• Create a JetPack 5.1.1 Linux_for_Tegra (L4T) environment on your host computer

  • You may create it by NVIDIA SDKManager by selecting Jetson Orin NX and JetPack 5.1.1

  • Alternatively, you may create it by command lines [link]

• Download the latest NRU-50+ tarball from NRU NAS onto your host computer. Please contact with your sales representative to obtain the NRU NAS link and password.

• Untar the NRU-50+ tarabll inside your JetPack 5.1.1 L4T folder to get all the necessary overlay files for flashing NRU-50+, e.g.,

cd Linux_for_Tegra
sudo tar zxvf nru50+_2023-09-01_1101.tar.gz

• Put NRU-50+ into recovery mode:

  • Please make sure the IGN mode is set to mode 0

  • The recovery button is located next to the terminal block of the DC input.

  • Press and hold the recovery button.

  • Power on the NRU-50+.

  • Keep the recovery button pressed for 5 seconds.

  • Release the recovery button.

• Connect NRU-50 with the Host Machine using a micro USB to USB cable.

• Then reflash the NRU-50+ with the following commands:

sudo ./flash_nru50+_dtb+pinmux.sh

The above reflash process didn't include the installation of CUDA, TensorRT, etc, ..., please install them by NVIDIA SDKManager.
