Default COM Port Settings

• DIP Switch [4:1] = 0001 [ref]

Default Account

• Account: nvidia

• Password: nvidia

Linux Kernel

Customized Linux Kernel with the following features:

• PPS Enable

• XFS Enable

• YUV Camera Support

OS Setting

• Lock screen: off

• Screen off: Never

One Time Setup

• Disable debug UART [link]

• Remove two repos under /etc/apt/sources.list.d/nvidia-l4t-apt-source.list to prevent from sudo apt upgrade failed (optional)

Install Common Tools and Configuration

sudo apt update

# Install minicom for COM communication
sudo apt install -y minicom

# Disable Debug UART
sudo systemctl stop nvgetty
sudo systemctl disable nvgetty

# Install jtop
sudo apt-get install python-pip python-dev build-essential 
sudo pip install --upgrade pip
sudo -H pip install jetson-stats

Install Startup Script

wget https://github.com/qshiwu/NRU-Public/raw/main/nru50_startup_script.tar.gz
tar -zxvf nru50_startup_script.tar.gz
cd nru50_startup_script
sudo bash ./install_nru50_startup_script.sh
