Include check the Ethernet interface PTP support and PTP test

Check the ethernet interface to support PTP

Before PTP test, please check if you already

• Make the PTP-enabled driver

• Check the driver supporting PTP feature

Once you build the PTP-enabled driver, you could check the ethernet interface for PTP support

ethtool -T (Ethernet interface)

There must be hardware-transmit/receive, hardware-raw-clock to support PTP feature

Use Linuxptp to test the PTP feature

## install the PTP test tool
sudo apt install linuxptp

## run on the master side
sudo ptp4l -i (ethernet interface) -m

## run on the slave side
sudo ptp4l -i (ethernet interface) -m -s

After a few while, you would get the steady state

⇒ The Master-Slave offset would be +/- 2~15 (ns)
