Test Conditions

  • GPU Models: MSI Ventus RTX 5070 Ti & RTX 5070

  • Slot Placement: RTX 5070 Ti installed in the slot closer to the motherboard

  • System Fan: 100%

  • GPU Fan: 100%

  • Stress Test Tool: GPUburn

Result

GPUBurn

When the RTX 5070 Ti is installed in the slot closer to the motherboard, its temperature reaches around 75°C, which is over 13°C higher than the RTX 4080 Super (Ventus 3X), which stays around 60°C under similar conditions.

The RTX 5070 Ti is expected to begin thermal throttling when the environment temperature reaches 47°C, while the RTX 4080 Super shows almost no throttling even at 60°C chamber temperature.

The weaker thermal performance of the RTX 5070 Ti may be due to its smaller overall size and smaller fans compared to the RTX 4080 Super, as shown in the size comparison below.

5070Ti & 4080 Super Size Comparison

If your application—whether on Nuvo-10108GCGC or Nuvo-10208—uses the 5070 Ti in a high-temperature environment, please take this thermal limitation into account.
