SIMCOM-7600SA-M2 on NRU-50

0. Prerequisite

  • While choosing the 4G LTE / 5G NR module on the NRU-50 series. Please make sure you are using a SIMCOM-7600SA M.2 B key versionarrow-up-right. We have designed dual micro SIM card slots for the M.2 B connector on the NRU-50 series. (But we don't have a SIM slot for mPCIe slots)

  • Please make sure you are choosing the right SIMCOM 4G LTE module that meets your 4G LTE frequency band.

  • You need a SIM card and antennas to complete the full settings.

  • You need an Ethernet connection to download related packages.

1. Driver Installation

Please use the following script to complete the driver installation.

tar -xzvf SIMCOM7600SA_nru50.tar.gz
cd SIMCOM7600SA_NRU50/
sudo bash ./00_install_SIMCOM7600SA.sh

Then reboot the system before dial-up.

2. Setup the Mobile Broadband with SIM Card

By default, the 4G LTE module on NRU-50 will use the micro SIM accessed from the bottom. Please insert your SIM card before continuing.

Then, click on the "New Mobile Broadband" if you haven't set up one.

Step 2-1. Make NRU Connect to 4G Automatically

Click on the "Edit Connections" for mobile network settings.

Fill in PIN if needed.

3. Dial-up 4G LTE via wwan

We have prepared a script to dialup SIMCOM 7600SA 01_dialup_SIMCOM7600SA.sh.

By default, the dial-up script assumes a non-PIN code SIM card. If you are using a SIM card with a PIN code, please uncomment the following part, and replace <SIM_PIN_CODE> with your PIN code.

Then, you can dial up the 4G LTE by the following command:
