For the batch with 10GbE based on the Marvell AQC113CS, Marvell has announced special firmware to set the AQC113CS to PCIe Gen2 to ensure a stable 10GbE connection. However, this comes with a drawback: the maximum 10GbE speed will be limited to 6 to 6.5 Gbps.

Steps to Update the Marvell AQC113CS Firmware (202409 Update)

• Download the files inside the following folder from NRU NAS to NRU-51V+

  
• Unzip the AtlTool2_4.10.111.827_Linux_ARM64 and copy AQC113-DirtyWake_Bx_Gen2_x2-1.5.42_bdp_aqsign.clx into the same folder.

unzip AtlTool2_4.10.111.827_Linux_ARM64.zip

cd AtlTool2_4.10.111.827_Linux_ARM64
chmod +x *

# copy AQC113-DirtyWake_Bx_Gen2_x2-1.5.42_bdp_aqsign.clx into the same folder
cp ~/Downloads/AQC113-DirtyWake_Bx_Gen2_x2-1.5.42_bdp_aqsign.clx .

# Check the connected Marvell AQC113CS 
./listDevices 

# Flash the FW only without changing the MAC address
./flashBurn2 -d 0004-01:00.0 AQC113-DirtyWake_Bx_Gen2_x2-1.5.42_bdp_aqsign.clx

# Reboot to make the new firmware work
sudo reboot

• After the Firmware update, please reboot the system and check the updated PCIe speed of AQC113CS is PCIe Gen2 x2
