1. Host Machine

Unlike x86 machines, you need a Host Machine to help you backup the NRU series, update low-level system files, e.g., kernel and device tree. The basic idea is to boot the NRU series into recovery mode, then you can use the Host Machine to update the system image, device tree, or kernel image.

We recommend the following Host Machine specification:

  • Memory: 8G (minimal) or 16G+ (recommended)

  • Storage: 128G (minimal) or 256G+ (recommended)

  • Keyboard & mouse

  • Wired network connection

  • Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

    • 1x USB Stick for bootable Ubuntu USB drive
