2x4-Lane MIPI Settings for AC-AR0820

Background Information

By default, NRU-51V+ are shipped with 4x 2-lane MIPI settings.

This technical note is specifically for our alpha site customers testing with 2x 4-lane settings for 8MP camera, AC-AR0820, development.

Hardware Setting

While using the NRU-51V+ with 2x 4-lane MIPI settings, the FAKRA connection should be connected as the picture below.

The differences between the 2-Lane and 4-Lane daughter boards are as shown below.

Device Tree

  • Please download the special 2x 4-lane MIPI camera settings from the NRU NAS.

  • Overwrite the existing device tree on NRU-51V+ using the following commands for 2x 4-lane MIPI settings.

md5sum nru50+_ONX_8gb.dtb #check sum as 4deb364b0085a2f73657436d7e01b9dd
sudo cp -f nru50+_ONX_8gb.dtb /boot/dtb/kernel_nru50+_ONX_8gb.dtb #change dtb file

Camera Sample Code

  • Please download 10-release.tar.gz from the NRU NAS and then decompress the tarball

  • After decompressing, right-click on AC-8MPCam.desktop and select Allow Launching.

Allow Launching AC-8MPCam.desktop
  • After allowing launching of AC-8MPCam.desktop, you will see it as the shortcut icon.

AC-8MPCam-Demo
  • Double-click on AC-8MPCam-Demo, and you will see the AC-AR0820 camera streaming at 20 FPS
