PCIe-GL26 Demo Kit with RGS-8805
RGS-8805 is a rugged HPC for edge applications. It's also a high-performance autonomous vehicle computer with AMD EPYC served grade CPU, NVIDIA A6000 / RTX3080 GPU card, and 2x PCIe-GL26 cards.

This article aims to memo down some reminders for PCIe-GL26 with the RGS-8805GC demo.
How to Demo
Power On RGS-8805GC
Preparation
Plug 6x AC-IMX390 cameras on the PCIe-GL26 via a FAKRA cable.
Plug a 4K display to the GPU card
It is important to accommodate a GPU card inside the RGS-8805 since AMD EPYC is designed for server usage without powerful integrated graphics.
While accommodating with RTX 3080, please remember to choose a 1000W power adapter for RGS-8805 to have a stable power supply.
Powered on RGS-8805GC
It will take around 60 sec to boot into the Desktop.
With the preset code, RGS-8805GC will boot into Ubuntu 18.04 and read
demo_PCIe-GL26.shon the Desktop. This script opens 6x AC-IMX390 cameras via PCIe-GL26 by GStreamer. After 6x cameras are opened, slightly rearrange the GStreamer window for a better layout.

Please help to deliver the following messages to the audience:
We bring the server from air-conditioning room to the edge with -25 to 60C rugged operation.
RGS-8805GC is a high-performance computer for autonomous vehicles with sensing, inference, and planning.
Sensing: With 2x PCIe-GL26, up to 12x automotive GMSL2 cameras can be connected.
Inference: With NVIDIA A6000 or RTX 3080, RGS-8805GC provides excellent inference capability for multiple AI modules
Planning: With AMD EPYC server grade CPU, 64 cores / 128 threads / 512GB memory, plenty of CPU computing for planning, and also SLAM.
Compact 2U 19" rack-mount enclosure with only 350mm depth
Four easy-swappable 2.5” SATA trays for 7mm HDD/ SSD storage
8~48V wide-range DC input with built-in ignition power control
PCIe-GL26 Demo
PCIe-GL26 is a GMSL2 frame grabber card based on Xaiver NX, which is more cost-effective than existing FPGA-based frame grabbers.
PCIe-GL26 can apply to powerful x86 host computers. PCIe-GL26 is treated as a 10Gb Ethernet card to the host computer.
Based on the current non-optimized experiment, PCIe-GL26 has a 120ms glass-to-glass latency for 6x raw camera video streaming. This latency includes camera exposure time, GMSL2 transmission, moving video from PCIe-GL26 to the host computer, display latency on the host, and 60Hz refresh rate of the display.
We deliver PCIe-GL26 as a turnkey solution with a pre-installed system image, pre-installed camera driver, and streaming sample code for our selected cameras.
With the 2-pin board ID, you can have up to 4x PCIe-GL26 connect to a single host computer without changing the pre-installed sample code.
PCIe-GL26 can switch between a pure PCIe card or a standalone Xavier NX computer.

Dissemble the Demo
Send a software shutdown to PCIe-GL26 if possible.
Power off RGS-8805GC
There is a lock on the DC input connector. Please remember to press the lock before unplugging the connector.

If you just want to remove PCIe-GL26, there is a removable cover above the PW screw of the PCIe card. This design helps you remove the PCIe card without dissembling the whole chassis of RGS-8805GC.
